A wonderful hotel, staff and restaurant. Superb rooms very relaxing. We had dinner each night at the restaurant which was far better than any in the city. The location allows for nice walks in the woods with easy connections to a local bus. We enjoyed our stay so much we changed our travel plans to stay longer. Highly recommended!

Very nice and freindly family run hotel with deservedly popular restaurant attached. Easy commute by bus into Heidelburg or direct access to forest walks.

Very few, maybe the proximity to the autobahn.

private travelling with children, 31-40 years; travel season:June 2008
the hotel is in a very friendly and quiet place.

the rooms are not so sound proof, so if the people in the bar downstairs are happy and loud you can hear every wod.

This is a wonderful hotel and restaurant which I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and restful stay. The location was picturesque and quiet (a small crossroads village just a couple of miles from central Heidelberg) but located on a bus route which quickly takes guests with luggage to central Heidelberg. The room was modern and cleaner than any hotel room I've ever stayed in. (The bathroom looked like it had never been used before.) The on-site restaurant (open only in the evenings) has as nice a menu as restaurants in central Heidelberg recommended by travel guides, plus it is a quiet setting where local families will also dine on its outdoor patio. In terms of price, this hotel was an excellent value.

For travelers in wheel chairs or those who find walking difficult, you will need to take a taxi to and from this hotel rather than riding the bus. The bus stop, although no more than 100 yards away, is at the bottom a steep hill.

Rooms are clean, and the breakfast buffet was nice. Personnel are efficient and friendly. Neighborhood was very tranquil and soothing.

Directions for finding the hotel (by car)were inadequate.
