Lake Krakow hotels - Book hotels in Germany at great rates

The Krakow lake is in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in the county of Güstrow. The nine kilometer stretch of water has two parts – the upper and lower lake with the lower forming part of the Nature Reserve Krakow Lake District. There are many hotels in Krakow am See and whilst there visitors can see the Book Printing Museum in the old school which shows the stages of printing and binding a book. The observation tower on the Jörnberg has wonderful views over the lake and surrounding countryside.

If you are staying in the area a popular visit is to the monastery in Dobbertin which is the only church with two towers in Mecklenburg. Güstrow is the county town and has a magnificent castle in which the visitor will find art treasures and furnishings from the 16th and 17th Centuries. It is interesting to book tickets for a performance at the Ernst Barlach Theatre. In the Güstrow cathedral of St. Mary there are figures of the apostles dating from the 16th Centuiry and the marble tomb of Duke Ulrich III.

The open air museum in Groß Raden has a reconstructed slav village from the 10th Century.. Krakow am See has a direct connection to the Autobahn A19 making access to the region quick and easy.
