Located in the heart of the historic and monumental city, between the Alhambra and the Albayzin, the Hotel Puerta de las Granadas is situated in a building from the 19th century which was totally renovated in 2004. It is placed in the Cuesta de Gomérez street, close to the Puerta de las Granadas, from which it got its name and which is the gate to the Alhambra monument. This is a small hotel with only 14 rooms, which assures a more personal and direct contact. Keeping the architectonic values of its past, it was given a more modern and functional character, reflecting modern times. The hotel allows the visitor to stay in the centre of the historic city quarter with maximum comfort and in walking distance to the most emblematic monuments and the most traditional and trendiest places in town.  Really nice small hotel, excellent friendly and helpful staff. Very good location, close to Alhambra, Sacromonte, Albaicín, and city centre. Nice patio on second floor - ideal for smokers.

 The only internet access is WiFi, and signal strength varies greatly within the hotel; with my laptop it was impossible to do anything from the room - but it was OK in public areas, so not much of a problem. |
