Hotel Odeon Saint-Germain |
This hotel offers an exceptional location just a stone's throw away from the church of Saint Sulpice and its delightful square, in the heart of Odeon and Saint-Germain-des-Prés districts. A stay here will ensure that guests return with unforgettable memories. After being redesigned and renovated by the famous architect Jacques Garcia, the Hotel Odéon St Germain currently opens all year round to delight guests with the delicacy and perfection of its details. Intimate and very Parisian, it's impossible not to admire the spectacular contrast present between the stonemason walls, off-white beams and the warm and private ambience of the foyer, lobby and small living rooms. The rooms feature the same warm and enveloping atmosphere and décor as the public areas and benefit highly from the staff's attentive service. The Odéon St. Germain boasts being amid the most important monuments of the French capital, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, a renowned district which encapsulates the cultural and artistic life of the city in its bookshops, cinemas, theatres and literary cafés. Notre-Dame, Saint-Sulpice church, the Luxembourg Gardens, the Louvre and Orsay museum and the Odeon theatre are just some of the places of interest nearby. On top of that, some of the most famous cafés - Lipp, Les Deux Magots, Le Flore are beside the hotel, as well as art galleries, restaurants, and open-air markets.

Guest evaluation of Hotel Odeon Saint-Germain

Great location in a 16th century bldg. Professional, warm, accommodating staff. Quirky room layouts. Renovated, nicely decorated. Good bathrooms.

Quirky room layouts, some of which are quite small. Rooms get little natural light, even with 2 windows, which is a factor of the architecture, not managmenet. Room lighting isn't very bright, even though there are LED reading lights bedside. |

I stayed in room 14, on the top floor, for one night in mid-September. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is one of warm, personal service. The check-in is done sitting down at a desk with the manger rather than at a stand-up desk—creating a more intimate environment from the start. The staff is uniformly gracious, attentive, and tries hard to answer all questions and requests. I loved my room, which looked out across rooftops, with the top of the Pantheon in the distance. Facing away from the street, the room was exceptionally quiet. It was small, but an average size for this type of hotel in Paris. As it was on the top floor, parts of the ceiling and walls were slanted and a taller person (I’m 5”4”) might have found it difficult to maneuver in the room. The layout was efficient, with a small desk, two chairs, 2 nightstands , a comfortable bed, and reading lights. The bath was small but efficiently laid out, too, with Occitane toiletries. Sitting rooms on the ground floor are a perfect setting for relaxing with tea after a busy day. The rooms and common areas were all very clean and well maintained. There is a single internet-capable public computer tucked away in a nook on the ground floor and the hotel has wi-fi connectivity.

The only criticism I would have is that the hotel is a bit dark with limited natural light. Nothing that can be done about that, really, and it’s a small criticism in light of all the other wonderful things about the Odeon. |

Beautiful, stylish, charming...just simply perfect and very Parisian. My wife and I are beyond surprised how lovely this hotel has turned out to be. We have traveled around the world and every hotel website seems to publish pictures nicer than reality...not this hotel...it is exactly if not better to see in person. Also, the location is high-end and central, however because the hotel has double paned windows the rooms are wonderfully quiet. We look forward to returning as this is the only hotel we will now stay while visiting Paris (this is saying a lot because we generally enjoy experiencing new hotels). |
