My room (501) was exactly adjacent to the elevator. So it was *very* noisy the *whole night*. I hardly slept. You could also hear returning hotel guests talking in the corridor. So rooms aren't soundproof. But there are other rooms farther from the elevator that should be less noisy. Besides, my room had a "view" to the inner shaft of the building. Other rooms have a nicer view either to the main street or the inner courtyard.
