The staff were extremely helpful and friendly to deal with.

I have stayed at this hotel for 20 years. I requested one of the nicer rooms and was disappointed when I arrived. I was given one of your smallest rooms!Normally Im given an upgrade.
I will not be returning to your hotel.174 euros for a tiny tiny room is a waste.There are some beautiful rooms, too bad you dont reward your loyal guests.

Location, clean & renovated bathrooms. Good price/value.

I have stayed at the Excelsior many times. It is one of the friendliest hotels I have ever used. Standards are generally very high.

Single rooms are tiny and uncomfortable, especially compared to the standard rooms. The hotel was very quiet for this visit and I was very surprised not to be upgraded to a standard room. |

Free mini bar was helpful to supplement the small room service dinner (see negative comments below).

1. Room was very small - essentially a corridor with a tiny bedroom off one side and a tiny bathroom off the other side.
2. I ordered a room service dinner, a main course pasta, which was very small and was accompanied by dry bread with no butter. |

hotel.de was very responsive to clarify and resolve problems encountered by the customer. The support service was very good and prompt

There were problems when checking-in,the hotel did not recognize and honor the terms and rate of the booking confirmation (only when Hotel.de intervened was the situation resolved). The overall service level of the staff does not live up to what one would expect from a hotel that claims to be a 4 star establishment, and as such the price-performance ratio was disappointing. |
