| Very friendly staff, good breakfast. The room is clean, the furniture quite simple, sheets & beds are good. If only they would replace this green old carpet with a new one, then this hotel would be my top recommendation for Cologne at this price level! |

The hotel is in a very good location, close to both the main station and cathedral. There are also at least three good restaurants in the same street about 15-20m from the front door of the hotel.

 My room was next to the lift and also looked out on to the platforms at the main station. I could hear the tannoy announcements from the station from 6am. Whilst this didn't bother me, it might be worth asking for a room facing the street if this is likely to bother you. |

| Exactement ce qu'il faut quand on cherche à dormir près de la gare pour reprendre un train tôt le matin.
Genau, was ich brauchte, um in der Nähe des Bahnhofs zu übernachten. So konnte ich dann den Zug früh morgens ganz ruhig angehen. |

Small, but comfortable hotel for a "quadruple room" for four of us (two adults and two children). One of the beds was a mattress laid out on the floor which was fine for our 3-year old. The location is excellent. Less than a 5 min walk to the Cathedral and the start of the main shopping street. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, European style.

| At check out the desk attendent was going to charge me an 8 Euro charge for a "cultural tax" that wasn't included in my booking price. I expressed concern that other taxes were not in addition and he ended up not charging me the 8 Euro, but contended that it should have been charged. Parking is paid parking on the street or in a nearby parking garage. Otherwise, we would seriously consider staying there again if we return to Koln. |

A cheapish hotel near the centre of Cologne. Excellent breakfast, but........

| Heating did not work at all during 2 day stay. Decorations very tired and some lights not working. In general well past it's "sell by date". |

| We had a road facing room and found it to be quiet ,clean & comfortable.Staff were knowledgeable about their city & helpful with places of interest and directions.A small but ample buffet breakfast set you up for the day.Could not have asked for more from this well situated & reasonable priced hotel. |

This was very good value for money hotel room and breakfast within a short walking distance of the main railway station, we just rolled our cases from the staion to it. Linen and room smelled and looked very very clean although the appearance is dated it is appropriate to the price.

| We were there at a very hot time, 36 degrees centigrade and although a free fan was provided in the room it was very hot at night. With the room window open at night there is noise from the station. |

The Hotel is very conveniently located from Bahnoff and there are two good restaurants nearby.The hotel rooms are clean, breafast is good.
