I would highly recommend this hotel that is situated just a few minutes from the Koeln Cathedral and the historical city. The breakfasts were absolutely awesome and staff was very friendly. Perfect! Marketa |

The best option near the cathedral (but not offering a view of the cathedral, as the name might suggest). Small, friendly and quiet, with modern rooms. |

Hotel is well situated. It is 2 mins walk on the other side of the station from the city centre so it is quieter than other hotels (and the double glazing does reduce passing sounds when the windows are closed), but still near to all the sights. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

|
The hotel does not take credit cards and you will need to pay by cash. The rooms are very basic but have all you need for a short stay. The TVs in the room are small portables which are not great for watching for extended periods and they only have 1 English speaking station. Our room also did not have a minibar as described on the website. |

Everything was here that we were wanting. Breakfast was plenty although not much variety.

|
Staff were helpful although I didn´t feel welcome. Breakfast staff were nice but asking when we would be leaving. I wouldn´t stay here again...it gave us a terrible impression of cologne. |

It's well located and not expensive.

|
They don't accept credit cards or offer internet access, although both services are listed on the hotel's description. |

Close to the train station and the cathedral. Located on a quiet street.

|
Having a bar/restaurant on premises would be a plus. |

For a traveller travelling alöne who normally arrives in a city by train it was indeed pleasing to have a hotel booked that was very close to the station, and which was remarkably easy to locate. Further, to have it located near necessary sevices, such as a choice of internet cafes and call centres, laundromats, and of course good cheap restaurants was a pleasant surprise. It made the available time more practical from a visitors perspective, and allowed for genuine leisure time - a point that is of significance when one is constantly running all over cities to meet their needs and thus intruding into the leisure component of travel. Something further added through the fact of the reasonableness of the hotel.

|
They, for reasons of negative experience, would not allow payment by credit card - a rather immature approach I felt. Surely they could set practices in place to eradicate the risk of fraud. |

Public areas very clean. Excellant breakfast.

We arrived back at the hotel on the 3rd night of our stay to find one of the beds had been removed from our room!
Room very small. |

This hotel was as expected from the mixture of customer reviews. Excellent location and basic hotel. Also, they forwarded some mail (which arrived after my stay) to my home with no problem.

|
The cleaners did not lock my door on the first night! (My door was only a few feet from the outside door which was open! and the doorman / receptionist was sound asleep when I returned to hotel that night!) |

I stayed in this hotel a year ago so was aware of what to expect. Location, quality, and price are its strong points. Everything past that is "what is expected". |

| I was plesantly suprised by this hotel. It is good value for money, although the room might be a bit small for two people. It is only 5 minutes walk from Koln Hbf station. |
