Hotel Das Triest

Das Triest Hotel is a member of Design Hotels. Sir Terence Conran wrote design history in 1996 in Vienna with the hotel DAS TRIEST. In the meantime the structure on the Wiedner Hauptstrasse has become Conran´s Austrian work-in-progress. The conference/banqueting rooms and two of the suites underwent a gentle refurbishing in 2004 and in 2005 Sir Terence completely redid the hotel´s spacious living room and also its gourmet restaurant, the COLLIO. In 2008 there was a re-design of all junior suites to continue the British Designer´s work. Some 300 years ago the building which now houses DAS TRIEST hotel contained the main stables for the horse-drawn postal route from Vienna to Triest. The building has undergone a few changes since then. The hotel DAS TRIEST is a masterpiece of modern design offering 72 rooms and suites, fully equipped state-of-the-art conference rooms, the COLLIO awarded italophile gourmet restaurant under the direction of chef-de-cuisine Josef Neuherz, the extravagant SILVER BAR and one of the nicest and quietest courtyard gardens in the city.
