Hotel Amsterdam is a modern three-star bed and breakfast establishment with a personal atmosphere and 60 beds. The hotel is housed in a beautiful old listed building, erected in 1905, enjoying a superb setting in Hamburg in Harvestehude-Rotherbaum.
The comfortable rooms are appointed with direct dial telephone, satellite TV, clock radio and hair-dryer. Parking spaces are available in front of the building. A copious breakfast is served in the pleasant breakfast lounges.
The Congress Centre with the ICE railway station Hamburg-Dammtor as well as the exhibition grounds is almost opposite the hotel. The Außenalster nearby invites you for walks or boat trips. Due to the immediate proximity to the university area and the best district Pöseldorf you can take a seat and unwind in many restaurants, pubs and bars.

 The location is excellent, close to Dammtor station and the congress center/exhibition.
  There was no shower (or shower curtain), only a bath tub with a hand-held shower. I found this impractical. There is no sound insulation to the corridor. The staff were not very friendly.
