Public transport such as metro and tram conveniently take you to the airport, the railway station and the fair grounds in Riem. There is a public multi-storey car park within 5 walking minutes walking distance. You can stop in front of the hotel to load and unload the car. The hotel was built in 1897 as a fish market where fish was sold in the today’s dining room. Hand-crafted doors, various fresco works and marble-plated walls are still reminiscent of the bygone times. The hotel is only a minute away from the town hall and the main metro station. Renovation of the rooms is necessary!!!! No comfort for business.

Excellent location and value - - just difficult to park in city center and find hotel so be prepared with a good street map.

Good central location

Lots of noise. Curtains did not fir windows. Poor drainage from shower - had to run slow to avoid overflow. Limited range of continental breakfast.

Breakfast was good for the price. The room was spacious for a European hotel room. Our young son enjoyed the tiny glass elevator. The hotel has historic charm and is in a good location for tourists (near the Marienplatz and Actualienmarkt).

There is no street access to the hotel which we did not know before arrival. You must walk down a brick-paved alleyway to get to the hotel, which we found difficult since we arrived during a rainstorm and had a child in a stroller in tow. If you wait until the end of the morning to go down for breakfast, you will have slim pickings (e.g. only apples remain of the "mixed fruit salad"). The hot water ran out at random times of the day (I wanted to take a shower at 8pm on a Friday night and had no hot water.)

Perfectly situated at the Viktualienmarkt, 200 m from the Rathaus, and maybe 500 m from the Residenz and the Nationaltheater (ie the opera house). We will stay there next time we fly to München.

I was thoroughly disappointed with the hotel and its facility. Not even the TV was working forget about the internet availability. I had to sit near the bathroom to get the connectivity that too in night after 10:00 PM.
