The appearance of the hotel from outside was rather off-putting, but prospective visitors should not be deterred. Inside, the hotel was comfortable and quiet; and parking arrangements were satisfactory.

Personal atmosphere, nicely decorated room

Steep stairs, no elevator. No person at the reception even in the early evening around 20:00. Key pick up only by entering a code number after calling the owner. If one does not have a phone or a low battery this might become a real problem.

We were delighted with our stay at Hotel Altes Hafenhaus. The hotel is very tastefully appointed and the room very thoughtfully decorated. Very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was of superb quality, generous and meticulously presented. This standard was continually maintained through breakfast time.
