I was SO impressed by the member of staff who parked the hire car for me in the underground carpark. So hot (39 degrees), so narrow a space -and my friend stressing me out - it was appreciated. It was so much appreciated. I had stayed in this hotel before (1997?)on business so knew what to expect. It hasn't changed much. Target market: coach tours. The hotel was empty! I also got help with suitcases and the air conditioning as I could not figure out how to make it work. The staff were very, very attentive. I'd recommend it. Its location is also very good, so close to the Retiro gardens and Atocha railway stations. Bus outside. Very convenient.

Room insultation is not as good as it could be. But it wasn't a real nuisance, you could hear people talking though.

Recommended point for this hotel is just the location. Staffs are not freindly. I asked non-smoking room, but there was ash tray in the room. Because of low-price room, almost no light comes in from the window.
