Hotel Spitzberg is located in the university town of Passau in Lower Bavaria. This property with a cosy and familial atmosphere is very close to the railway station and the town centre.

The Hotel Spitzberg, conveniently located for the main station and around 10-15 minutes' walk from the old city centre, is exceptionally pleasant and represents very good value for money. Provided you don't mind that the area is a little out of the centre, I cannot recommend it too strongly and would be very pleased to stay there again.
The room itself was fairly quiet (as requested, they gave me one at the back of the building), perfectly clean, comfortable and in good repair.
The breakfast, at a price which led me to expect the usual rolls with jam, cheese, ham etc., was phenomenal value for money: it was in fact one of the best buffet breakfasts I've come across, including all possible varieties of hot and cold, sweet and savoury foods, including Bavarian specialities such as two types of regional sausage!
All in all, a fine hotel!
Not really a complaint, but I wish hotels didn't so often leave the televisions on standby - it wastes energy and I'm more than capable of flicking a switch!

Ein kleines feines und ziemlich neues Hotel mit einem sehr ansprechenden Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in der Nähe des Zentrums von Passau, das praktischerweise zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Auch eine Garage ist vorhanden.
