Hotel description Hotel San Cassiano - Residenza d'Epoca

Hotel San Cassiano - Residenza d'Epoca is located at the banks of the Grand Canal and offers the guests a beautiful view when arriving at the hotel's gate with a water taxi. The entrance area for pedestrians, which can be reached via calm residential alleys, provides a small patio with stone columns, fonts and a tree.

Channel gondolas and water taxis are at your disposal right in front of the hotel's entrance. The rooms feature mini-bar, safe, air-conditioning, direct-dial telephone, WLAN and satellite TV.

Our breakfast buffet is served on the Piano Nobile upper floor in a hall with terrace offering a marvellous view of the Grand Canal. Besides the classic continental breakfast with bread and brioche you may also enjoy yoghurt, cereals, fruit salad, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, bacon and sausages.

Hotel San Cassiano - Residenza d'Epoca is the only palace on the Grand Canal which was formerly owned by a Venetian artist. It was the residence of Giacomo Favretto, one of the most popular Venetian painters in the 2nd half of the 19th century.

"We had a room with direct view to the grand canal. Beautiful room and quite. The price we paid was drastically less than the normal price. It is a great hotel with very friendly and competent staff. We had a drink at hotel bar and the price is reasonable, even less than at a cafe. "
"Italian expresso for breakfeast is missing."

"Good location: 10 min to Rialto (behind the Fuzo) again good for 10 to San Marco Square supermarket is 5 min away (coop) and Pier San Stae in maybe 3 min. Asking for directions or where to buy the Rolling Venice card were well answered (even gave ne small map with plotted route to Rialto)"
"Low season good value for money, but on the weekends or during the peak season it is expensive (like everything in Venice). However, Venice is well worth visiting, and you should treat a hotel in the city - I've never seen so long as entertaining "simple" to a looked Häuserfront: o)"

December 2012
"Top location about 400m path from a vaporetto line 1 and Alilaguna away. Directly from the airport almost to the hotel - just super. Old hotel with lots of charm. 500m from the Rialto market, everything else is very easy to reach. To endure the channel volume at our side room, even with an open window. The alley to the hotel itself is very quiet. Simple but tasty and abundant breakfast buffet. Staff is nice and friendly, English-speaking. Price-performance ratio in December decidedly favorable."
"Everything was clean, but partially but already old, bathroom fittings cleaned already "blind", some cracked tiles and some cracks in walls and ceilings. But we could live with that problem. All depends on how much you pay. If you pay in high season but already a fortuitous three-figure sum for a double room, one expects more determined. But not for our times 100 euros we have much accustomed worse. One should look at the winding path from the vaporetto station to the hotel ever before, since only the last 2 corners are marked."

"Excellent location. Price / quality very good (it was a weekday in low season, though). One of the "must have" gourmet Venice (Vecio Fritolin) is very close and is a discount for hotel guests."

"Nice location, clean, quiet, friendly staff. Who has breakfast before 8 clock chance at a place overlooking the Grand Canal."
"Room and bathroom very closely. Bathroom with standard equipment. Buffet breakfast mediocre, the cheap fruit juice is a disgrace. The usual bland Italian bread. Not suitable for people with mobility problems. Very steep stairs, no elevator. TV with Italian channels."

"no welcome drink, the voucher was "found" only after intense complaint. However, the welcome drink was "charged" with a bar bill. Obviously no experience with!"
