Except good breakfast and central location nothing positive.

Incompetent Staff, cannot guide about any place in the city, do not know even the name of important people in the hotel. There was no soap, shampoo,Glass, hanger, TV, refrigerator on the first day of my stay and none at reception was interested in attending to this issue. The toilet was stinking all the time. It is more like a huge hostel and not meant for business travellers. Suitable for tourists looking for centrally located medium range hotel for short stay.

Faded grandeur - not as modern as it appears in pictures but still a fine place to stay for the price.

Very central so it was easy to go sightseeing without having to use taxis and it was walking distance to the Bus station.

No real negative comments as I didn^t stay there long enough. A rubbish bin in the bedroom would have been nice.

The hotel has a great location in the Old Town. The airBaltic shuttle bus stops here. The hotel is surrounded by shops and numerous restaurants. It is within walking distance of the central train station, bus station and the Art Nouveau District. I had a spacious room and the breakfast buffet is extensive and excellent.

The hotel is not air-conditioned and there are no fans in the rooms. This might be OK for other times of the year but it was extremely hot in Riga during my stay August 16-19. It was 90+ degrees F. Opening the windows does not help much because there is no cross ventilation and you hear the street noise from the plaza and the street cars rumbling by on the adjoining street. I was expecting free wireless internet but was very disappointed because it was on for only a few hours each night. The hotel staff insisted that it was working but I had to go to the nearby coffee shops to access the internet. The hotel staff are not responsive. My TV never worked during my stay despite several requests to fix it. They were also not helpful/knowledgeable about the sights and restaurants.

Very central and a well priced hotel. Breakfast is good and generous. Its Latvian owned, not an international chain, so you are helping the local economy!!
