Hotel-Restaurant Pieper is a traditional 125-year old house, nestled in the heart of Trier, which is the eldest town of Germany. This is a small, yet, nice hotel which is very popular among conference guests, biking enthusiasts and tourists from various countries.
Our 20 rooms, equipped with shower, toilet, colour TV and phone offer 40 beds, individual furnishing and a friendly ambience for a recreative stay. Parking facilities and storage space for bikes and motor bikes are also available.
Our hotel restaurant offers something for everybody´s taste with dishes ranging from plain fair to fine dining. We provide facilities for your conferences and celebrations and we also cater for your events. If you are planning a celebration at home you will not have to renounce to our excellent gastronomy. It goes without saying that we can also deliver buffets to your house.

The price was keen, the breakfast was fantastic! Great location for the main Train station and the Porta Nigra. Room was fine, quiet (no street noise).
The card reader did not work, and I didn't find out until I went to pay. This meant a dash to a cashpoint, which meant I missed my train. The check in was a bit disappointing as I had to wait about 5 minutes when I rang the bell.There is no lift. The butcher-shop/salami type smell was a shame.

Friendly staff; modern, clean room; 5-10 minutes walk to the Porta Negra. Despite negatives would still recommend on price/performance ratio and very modern and clean room/bathroom and vicinity to Porta Negra/center of town.
Phone didn't work and Digital TV only offered about 4 programmes (repeated on other regional channels). The main channels were missing. Hotel not exactly centrally located but not far from the center either. Parking only for about 4 cars available - OK for us at the time but not when there are many guests: otherwise using parking meters on the street in front of the hotel. The hotel is very old and the decor in the bar/dining area appears old (on the website it doesn't appear as old). Breakfast buffet OK but could be more variety.

Very good central location, large room
No parking space available on the day, had to pay for parking on main road.
Bathroom slightly in need of attention - cracked floor tiles and cigarette burns on handwash basin
