Situated in the splendid Tuscany hills, 20 minutes from Florence, Podere Castellare is located in the Chianti region. The property extends over 35 hectares of beautiful olive groves, vineyards and mixed woodland.
The building was constructed in the early '800 on the site of a castle of fortified building as testified by the base of the external walls of the farmhouse and villa, the name “castellare” is also credible due to the prominent position occupied by the house. Then in 2002 it has been transformed using a total ecological concept into a delightful sort of hotel in the countryside. The bedrooms and suites are named and coloured after typical plants of the farm.
Renovation has been carried out taking great care in the details and following Bio-architecture regulations: heating and air conditioning panels Bio compatible electric plant, Sun panels for heating water, colours in harmony with Feng-Shui tints, Bio-ecologic materials for furnishings.
