The Orto de' Medici Hotel in Florence is located inside an early 19th Century palace along a tranquil street in downtown Florence, near the Academy Gallery and only five minutes by foot from the Cathedral and the Basso Fortress. The palace hall is can be accessed through a suggestive corridor painted with frescoes that leads into the Tuscan stairway that connects the four floors of the hotel.

The 42 rooms in the Hotel, classic, deluxe or junior suite, are tastefully and elegantly furnished. From the windows of many of our rooms, it is possible to admire the magnificent view of the medieval roofs of Florence.

The Hotel’s first floor has two spacious reading rooms with frescoed ceilings and parquet floors. The beautiful dining room, decorated with floral landscapes, borders a large flowered terrace where guests can dine in the open and, during the summer, enjoy a drink and a relaxing evening at the bar. Wi-Fi areas and Internet workstations are always available in our Hotel.

Continuing along the corridor, you reach the charming internal garden. A path paved with sandstone and covered with an iron and glass structure allows our guests to easily access the new deluxe rooms, which will follow small paths embellished with geometrical hedges and saplings. At the centre of the garden there is a fountain surmounted by a small bronze angel.
