Hotel Observatoire Luxembourg

"Good location 1/2 block from the RER B which is why I booked it. From CDG airport got right into the RER subway station at terminal 2 and got off at Luxenbourg station - went to the exit back towards where the train had come from and out the Rue de L'Abee de l'Epee stairs and was right there. Attractive boutique hotel style entrance and small but charming sitting area in lobby. We got the last room in the hotel which was on the ground floor around the corner from the front desk. It must have been the handicapped room - it was large for Paris and had a good sized bathroom - shower with no door or curtain and sloping floor which was a bit messy as the entire bathroom gets wet when you take a shower - but on the other hand no stairs to climb with luggage which was a drawback we had seen in other reviews. However, you CAN hear everything at the front desk through the door...fortunately small hotel so not a steady stream of guests or inquries at the front desk Great location - entrance to the Luxemborg Gardens just a block or so down on the opposite side of the street...keep walking and you get to St Germaine and the Rue de L'Harpe and all the other little streets with no traffic of the Latin quarter filled with restaurants, pastry shops etc. On the way, if you look down the side streets you see the Pantheon and the Sorbonne University. Front desk staff very nice and helpful. Free internet wifi. Very clean. Charming all around."
