The Hotel Monopol is an exclusive establishment with flair, charm and traditional hospitality. It is located in the heart of the city close to the main station. You can easily reach the fair grounds, the commercial and shopping district as well as various places of interest on foot.
Our hotel provides a reception, lobby, restaurant, bar, conference rooms, business centre and 95 cosy rooms and suites, partly with balcony. All rooms are equipped with sound proof windows, radio, TV, pay-TV, mini bar (all drinks are for free and newly supplied every day) and ISDN-telephone system.
The sumptuous breakfast buffet is available already from 05:00 a.m. We offer Full American breakfast with scrambled eggs and ham, fresh salmon or wholefood menus with cereals and vitamin-packed dishes for nutrition-conscious guests. For lovers of the Asian cuisine there is an Asian corner and the Muslims will be happy to find special dishes with no pork and without alcohol.
The Monopol restaurant serving international and seasonal dishes complemented by exclusive wines is open every day from 06:00 p.m. The Goethe bar with its cosy atmosphere awaits you daily from 04:00 p.m.

Very impressive breakfast available all morning included in price. Also included in price was a stocked mini-bar in the room. Literally across the street from the main Frankfurt train station, so no taxi needed. Within walking distance of the river and many nice restaurants. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

This time I had a much better room than on my last visit. It was on the third floor and had a large bathroom including a tub (on my last visit just a tiny shower cubicle). Also, the room was much cheaper, only 61 euros rather than 78! Free mini-bar and newspapers in many languages.
None, except that rooms vary considerably, as do prices. It pays to book early.

Good location, clean room, free mini-bar including high alcohol beer and lots of soft drinks, decent though by no means extravagant breakfast, plenty of smoked salmon, range of coffees, free newspapers & refreshments available (free of charge!) all day
A very small room on the second floor with virtually no room in the tiny bathroom. This was a little cupboard into which shower and toilet had somehow been shoe-horned.

Very close to the station, this is why I chose this hotel. Free internet service and free drink in the room of the refrigerator. It however should be 3 stars in quality.
Noisy...sounds from corridor inside the hotel but it's no problem about the noise from outside.
Breakfast, it's not 4 stars in quality.
Wi-fi did not work enough in my room (4th floor), disconnected so often.

Excellent location, 2 mins from station tracks. Free minibar, newspapers, decent breakfast, coffee and cakes available for free all day - amazing value.
Room got rather hot; door handle came off on arrival but was quickly repaired. Charge for WiFi.

Good value: hotel provides free drinks (including 2 beers per night), also fruit and cake free during the day. Free newspapers and free ironing service were additional bonus items. Room was ok, the en suite bathroom was good, and an extra firm pillow was provided within seconds of asking.
Only one free computer in lobby but it was not being heavily used. The immediate surroundings of the hotel are rather unattractive, but it is right next to the main station, and less than 10 minutes' walk to the river, museums etc. Rooms can get hot in the summer.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Old world charm with all the amenities we could have wanted. Excellent location just across from train station. Highly recommended.
Breakfast was not ready at the advertised time of 6 a.m., nor by 6:30 a.m. when we departed for the airport.
