The unique, charming four-star Monopol Hotel is located right by the railway station and the culture and convention centre.

We provide 74 luxurious rooms which invite you to settle in and relax after a busy day of work or an exhaustive journey. The comfortable and spacious rooms are appointed with bathroom with shower and toilet, hair-dryer, safe, mini bar, colour TV, telephone and WLAN.

The hotel provides conference facilities for up to 50 people. Due to its convenient location it can be easily reached on foot or by taxi.

The culture and convention centre as well as Lake Lucerne are only 30 seconds away from the railway station. The popular Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge) and the Old Town are within walking distance.

Although I explicitely asked for a non-smoker room, the smell appeared just after I closed the window (probably people have been smoking there for a century...)

Location is very good, right next to the main station. Everything in the room worked, the breakfast was OK. All in all a very solid offering and for me just what I needed.
 
When you open the room window, the noise from the street is rather loud (I was on the fifth floor!). The windows, doors and walls are sound proof.

I would stay there again. The only thing distracting from the hotel is that there is a STARBUCKS in the lobby; and McDonalds next door. However, it is next to the train station so what do you expect.

Helpful friendly desk clerk
 
No way it is four star hotel - tired common areas and rooms. No amenities in guest bathroom equal to a four star(a four star should not have soap pumps)and broken missing tiles in the bathroom. Outdated furniture in the guest room.
