It had internet. It was clean and quiet. About a 10 min walk from the train station.

Our biggest problem was that it wasn't on most of the city maps, just off. It was a bit pricey and the desk closed very sharply at 2200.

Hotel is a 15 walk from the main station, 25min walk to the altstadt, is situated in a residential area with a supermarket nearby. Our room was very spacious and clean and I enjiyed the tea and coffee available in the foyer. Breakfast good and plentiful. Great value for money.

Internet was very disappointing. There was no internet in our stock, though the staff was saying it is there. The signal was very weak. In the reception level, where the signal was good the internet was stopping and starting every 2-3 minutes.

There was also free use of internet facilities at reception area. At 59 Euro per night including a superb breakfast and really helpful / friendly reception man named Joannes Jung, this hotel represents outstanding value for money.

Moguntia Hotel has a very good location: close to the railway station and about 15-20 minutes on foot to the Rhine and the Old Town (e.g. cathedral, museums). I was staying in a small single room, but it was very cosy and comfortable. Delicious breakfast and really nice personnel.

Not much space in the bathroom: toilet is located almost under the sink. This might be a problem in the so called "small rooms" only...

The hotel would be very good even at a much higher price. Big room, great breakfast, and good access to the tram and the Bahnhof. The neighborhood is just fine.

The web site shows 2 rooms out of the 32, in fact the only 2 which have been modernised, the remainder have not, so the web site is very misleading.

The staff was very polite, very accommodating. The food was excellent. The location is very good, near to Main train station. Lots of nice shops and other interesting things to do in the city of Mainz, only minutes away. I would recommend this to a person who is interested in either a shorter stay, (4 days or less) or to the business traveler.

The rooms could be updated a little, especially the bathroom. There is poor ventilation in the bathrooms so it can remain humid a while after a shower.
