A home away from home, right in the centre of Vienna. Our cosy four-star hotel is celebrating its 100th anniversary and has been completely renovated to mark the occasion. The Mercure Secession offers a combination of classic Viennese style and modern comfort.

Positive Very helpful and friendly staff. I had very big room with excellent view. Location of hotel is great, close to metro station, market and city center. Convenient parking. Free Internet at good speed. Negative Could be good to have at least one Russian TV channel.

Positive I was surprised that even the single rooms did not appear very small, it was a nice visit for 2 days! Hotel is clean, comfortable beds, nice breakfast, right in the center of vienna! Big surprise: Free WiFi connection, which is not mentioned in the Hotel Negative The TV was not positioned well, you could hardly see it from the bed (better from the sofa at the opposite). And at least, no chocolate on the pillow at night ;-) (okay they gave some other sweet, but thats personal taste...)

Positive Excellent location for museums, opera, theaters, food market ("Naschmarkt"). Everything within walking distance. Negative Room quite small, but sufficient for people who only want to sleep in it. Atmosphere slightly unpersonal. Room rate via hotel.de corresponded to rate posted in the room, most likely one of the cheapest rooms in the hotel.

Positive For the price we paid this hotel presented excellent value. It's location is ideal for its price range and is a very practicle hotel. Negative €14 for breakfast was in our opinion expensive. The traffic noise was easily heard from early morning.
