Hotel Krafft is located at the Rhine River and right in the heart of Basle. It offers a pretty view to the Old Town and to the cathedral on the opposite bank of the river. Given its ideal and central location, this hotel is a perfect place for your holiday. You can reach all interesting places quickly and conveniently.

 

All our rooms are reserved for the non-smoking guests. We offer single rooms, double rooms and suites with either a view to the Rhine or to the city. All hotel rooms are comfortable, cosy and most of them are equipped with Swiss design furniture.

 

Our culinary offer comprises mainly creative and authentic specialties. We combine fresh regional products with a careful preparation. Everything, ranging from a sauce to a sorbet, is home-made. Our guests can dine in the stylish atmosphere of a dining hall that provides Viennese parquet floor, high round arch windows and tables with white table-linen. In good weather you may also enjoy your meal on the terrace next to the Rhine.

 

The visitor’s tax is charged separately per person and day. 

 

A mobility ticket is available for each guest granting free of charge use of public busses and trams in Basel during the whole stay.

Krafft hotel is a great blend of old world charm with understated mid-century decor and comfort. I have been here 20+ times and continue to be impressed. Make sure to sample breakfast in the stunning dining room overlooking the Rhine.

water heater and tea available historic building, very nicely and directly located at the Rhine and public transport stop in front of the hotel rooms seem to have been completey renewed in 2005, thus, the design of the rooms is modern

I got a extremly small room. The bathroom was so small that a big guy might not fit into the shower. The room was located to the street side where you here the tram at 5:30 am in morning.

Very friendly staff, quite big room, location near to center. I do like the hotel.
 
The hotel is located in the noisy at night place (some restaurants and pubs are near by), for me it was not a problem but if you have a light sleep it will be better to ask for the room overlooks Rhine, maybe it helps.

Excellent view over the Rhine river from the riverside rooms. Historical ambiente, carefully maintained and party modernized. Very friendly staff. Nice restaurant.
 
Single rooms very small and with sparse furnishings, tiny bathroom. Wooden floor makes loud squeeking sound when walking. Noises from neighboring room very noticable. Double rooms better.

Great location!
 
Single room is extremely small. Bed was too short and very uncomfortable. You can hear everything from the room next door and the hallway. The bathroom is tiny and the shower so small you can barely turn. The room was not cleaned daily and used glasses not replaced. Currently remodeling is ongoing so elevator is out of order for a long time.

Free upgrade to a room worth triple the price, not even telling on check-in, just because available. Beautiful view on rhine-side. Very helpful staff. Luggage deposit half a day prior to check-in possible, luggage deposit on check-out for half a day as well.
 
Simply no negative remarks.
