The historic «Innere Enge» has been a popular excursion destination for the people of Bern since the early 18th century.
Distinguished visitors include the Empress Josephine (wife of Napoleon I) who was guest of honour on the occasion of a «Grand Déjeuner» in 1810. The «Innere Enge» was completely renovated in 1992 and with much love and dedication to detail, transformed into a delightful hotel.
The superb establishment, set in an oasis of green, rapidly became a favourite rendezvous for politicians, businessmen and artists, and at the same time, a popular «homefrom- home» for international masters of jazz and their fans.
Popular with the people of Berne since the early 18th century as a destination for excursions, the Innere Enge hotel is set amid its own park and is only 1 km away from the Bern railway station.
Spacious rooms invite you to spend peaceful nights. 15 rooms are dedicated to famous musicians and are decorated with personal objects of them.
From the park guests can enjoy views of the Old Town and the Alps.
The historic park pavilion is the perfect setting for a delicious buffet breakfast. The Innere Enge restaurant has 12 points in the Gault Millau Guide (reservation recommended)
The bus stop Innere Enge is right in front of the hotel. (Line 21)
Marian’s Jazz Room is the heart of the hotel and is known as one of the best jazz clubs in the world. 2 concerts are given daily, Tuesdays to Saturdays from September to May.
