Following a day's business in the UK, a colleague and I flew to Munich in the evening and did not arrive until 2215 at the hotel. Mr Gruenwald greeted us personally in absolutely flawless English and made us feel very welcome indeed. The rooms were modern, yet had that 'German feel' to them - which I like. Everything was clean, tidy, comfortable and worked as it should. Breakfast was a buffet, again in the German style and the lady serving us was delightful. She humoured me while I tried out my less than adequate German, filled in in English where required for clarity and spoke fluent Italian to another businessman enjoying breakfast. The price, I thought, was just right and I will stay at Hotel Gruenwald garni again, either on business or with family.

Clean hotel, friendly staff
 
Distance to City centre and also to interesting resstaurants, however accessible by tram in 20 mins

The breakfast is more than you would expect for a three star hotel: Omlette/Scrambled eggs made for you on the spot.
