Some of the rooms have been refurbished and are much improved. Got a spacious room on the first floor overlooking Rua Castilho and the main entrance of the hotel. Room had been painted and new furniture had been added what gave the room a clean and new look. The location of the hotel is ideal, walking distance to Marques Pombal and the entire city centre with access to public transport.

The reception staff could be more friendly. One does not feel particularly welcome. Questions come across as a disturbance. As the hotel doors are locked at night time, receptionists do not seem to be very happy to open the doors at night. The breakfast is extremely basic but normal for Portuguese standards. The breakfast room requires refurbishment.

Not far from the center(still you need to be good walker if you want to go-and even more to get back-by feet )easy access with Metro and bus,very good price for the services provided-in general a good affordable solution

The room was quite small. Breakfast had little choices and not of good quality e.g. Orange juice, Bread,...

the location in the center of Lisbon. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Saturday night the bar was closed. Sunday there was no breakfast inspite of reservation conditions. The breakfast room is very noisy because of the refrigerator. The breakfast served Monday was rather poor. Only one kind of bread to choose, and the buns from yesterday - too hard. The hotel has obviously seen better times and needs badly new carpeting in the floors. Some of the twin-bedrooms, provided with a balcony, are too small to move in.

The location is ideal to explore and get around Lisbon, 5 mins walk from metro station and walking distance from all inner city tourist attractions. The younger hotel staff are very kind and helpful.

The breakfast could have more variety. The rooms have no tea/coffee facilities.
