The charming Hotel Du Nord is situated in the heart of Kopenhagen, 110 m from the main station and within a few minutes walking distance of the Tivoli Gardens. This beautiful building from 1882 was renovated last year, now presenting a new design in its 65 spacious and comfortable rooms.
The hotel rooms are decorated in traditional style and feature a large bathroom with bathtub. Each room comes with TV, radio, internet access, safe, hairdryer as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities.
A Scandinavian breakfast buffet is served in the cosy and bright breakfast room.

This was an exellent hotel before and I have stayed there many times through the years.
I came rather late after 9 hours trainride and the woman who was on shift, wanted me to pay for the night when I came to the hotel. I said it was written that I would do that when I leave, but she wasn´t pleased with that. I told her it was better for me to pay the next morning and she had got my visa numbers and she said she didn´t have them, only if I wouldnt meet up. I said I would like to stay another night but she couldn´t tell me if it ws possible and then she put my visacard in a copymachine and got all the numbers. Then she told me she didn´t want to listen to my stories, people were always telling her some stories, about their dog or whatever and she didn´t want that. I told her I only were telling her about it was better for me to pay next day and then I went to my room after having to ask her for a better coise that she were going to let me have. This is to be 4 star hotel, but it isn´t anymore. She were both unfriendly and unpolite and it was sad to come to this hotel that night.

The description led mne to expect a better breakfast buffet. However, the reception staff were all extremely helpful and reacted to an emergency - we arrived at 24.00 and the room was not cleaned - without fuss, immediately upgrading us to an available, better room.
Breakfast disappointing.
