The Den Gamle Graensenkro is located in a beautiful, rural environment between Kolding and Christiansfeld. With a long and exciting history, which starts around 1600, the guest house was the setting of some historical events and was even visited by members of the royal family.
The great history of the house is punctuated by the antiquated style and traditions, which are still esteemed by the furnishing and the cuisine.

Vakkert stort rom med fin utsikt.
Dårlig utstyrt bad. Dusj med forheng og sluk som gjorde at hele gulvet ble vått. Manglet hårtørker.

Friendly staff, spacious room and there was a common room with TV and pool table. Nice area outside at the back of the house. We recommend to drive to the center of the little village of Christiansfeld and go for a walk. It is really beautiful with small brick houses. Christiansfeld is approx. 3 hours by car from Hirtshals, where several ferries leave for Norway. We found it was a good place to stay overnight if you have to reach a mid-day ferry.
The menu in the restaurant is not too big, but the food was very nice and not to expensive (100 - 170 DKK for a full meal (not including beverages).
Could hear an occasional lorry outside during the night, as the hotel is right next to one of the main roads in the area. Though this did not disturb our sleep.
