hotel is on busy road but with windows closed it was ok, receptionist advised hotel is shortly due to be renovated which i would recommend from then

This is a consistently good hotel in a good location. It is a couple of minutes on foot from the central train station and about 15 minutes by foot to the city center. The rooms are nice and well amenitied. There is a great door and patio. They are quiet and sufficiently large. I would like to mention that the hotel staff is very nice. Both times we have stayed in the hotel, we arrived very early by train (6-7am) and were allowed to check in early at no extra cost. Very nice touch. This hotel is perfect for spending a day & overnight in Mainz with easy access to the Frankfurt Airport. I would also consider this hotel to be a very good value in Germany.
