Our hotel Alte Wache is located right in the heart of the Hamburg city. The theatres, the Alster, the railway station and the famous Hamburg shopping streets can be comfortably reached on foot.
In order to make your stay as pleasant as possible, we have arranged the rooms with a shower or tub, toilet, TV, radio, direct dial telephone, desk, mini bar, electric trouser-press and a hair-dryer. Parking facilities are right behind the hotel.
Our conference rooms can seat up to 150 persons and can be equipped with the following technology: overhead projector, flip chart, screen, VHS-video and monitor (66cm), pin board, microphone and loudspeakers.
In the restaurant and in the bar you are welcome to enjoy specialties from Hamburg, international dishes, drinks and cocktails.

Breakfast was good and it's very close to everything in the center of Hamburg.
Windows need to be noise proofed, walls are thin because I heard people's tv's and conversations, and finally what was the worst for me is that they don't have internet/wireless connection in the 21st century!!!! They have one computer in the lobby that kicks you out every 10 minutes. I specifically brought my computer to find out what to do in Hamburg, to check my flight status, to use Skype instead of my cell phone, check my bank accounts, etc...After 5 days I went to the Best Western which first, has updated furniture instead of Alte Wache's 1954 outdated furniture, but the price was the same except Best Western a few doors down has a gym, a sauna, comparable breakfast, and my room was a double room instead of a single for the same price...I will never ever go back to Alte Wache!!!!!
