The Hotel alla Salute is a budget hotel with great character: with its 50 bedrooms, faces onto the Fondamenta Ca' Balà and is 2 minutes from the splendid Basilica of the Madonna della Salute and 4 minutes from the Punta della Salute opposite Piazza San Marco, the most spectacular panoramic location in Venice. This hotel has been the house of the world famous poet Ezra Pound for years.A few steps from the Hotel is the water bus stopof ACCADEMIA. In 5 minutes it is possible to reach Piazza San Marco, the Gallerie dell'Accademia, the Teatro La Fenice and Rialto. Piazza San Marco can also be reached by gondola: the ferry that goes to the other side of the Grand Canal is very close to the Hotel and costs only 50 centimes!The Accademia di Belle Arti and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection can be reached on foot in 2/3 minutes. Not far away is the Fondamenta delle Zattere, a romantic walking route celebrated by the Russian writer Josif Brodskij in "La fondamenta degli incurabili".
