the room we were given was on facing the road. although the room was soundproof it was SO hot and the fan did not work correctly. Needless to say we did not sleep that night. Whenh we asked to change rooms we were told thbat the back rooms were booked out. When advertsing thbis hotel they should state that the front rooms are absolutley terrible and that these should be cheaper?

Location is convenient for those looking to be close to Altstradt.
Even though wireless internet was listed, it never worked in my room. I was told by the staff that is the way it was. It works in the lobby, but they let people smoke in the lobby, so it always smells like stale smoke.

The English-speaking (UK) receptionist is a delight and truly reflects what a hostess should be. The room is impeccably clean - one of the cleanest I've ever been in. The hotel is perfectly situated for quick excursions to the Altstadt.
The younger receptionist was not very helpful. I asked specifically if any phone charges were applicable and she said no; then I got a 6 Euro phone charge at the end! The room is quite small, but adequate. The telephone service does not allow a business traveller to use a calling card to phone home - very, very unhelpful.

good breakfast, quiet room despite traffic below, 3 minutes from pedestrian zone, parking available, but should be requested as spots are limited. Wireless internet even on third floor, though had to look for good reception in room.
tiny single room. Bed just long enough for 6'4" types. Appears that one cannot use a calling card from in room phone.

Our double room was very nice with an excellent view of the Hiedelberg town.
Because we drove to the hotel, it would have been nice to have detailed driving directions since the hotel sits on a one-way road. Parking is available on prior reservation, so it's best to mention this ASAP as there is only room for 3-4 vehicles.
