the rooms are nice and clean

The Staff has no customer orientation. At Check in the staff was not very helpful. At the restaurant: We sat at the dinner table (around 21:00) along with other guests. there was no service at the table, there was a waiter at the bar who looked at the full restaurant but didnt react. After 10 min an elderly lady went to the bar and asked why there was no service... it wasn't until then that the barkeeper informed her that she needed to order at the bar... she came back and informed all other guests sitting in the restaurant... there was no visible sign informing the guests nor did the waiter take the initiative to come over and inform the guests who where sittign and waiting. |

There was no complimentary tea/coffee, hot water kettle, cups or glasses in the room. Spring mattress not too comfortable. |

I have oly good things to report about this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the range of food at breakfast was better than many other buffets I've had icluded in my room rate. The free shutte to the airport was really convenient.

No service available.
Toilet paper was missing. Had to call twice reception. After 10 minutes had to go to reception and pickup toilet paper by myself.
Had borrowed power adaptor. Forgot in the room at check out. Had to go up by myself again to pick up adaptor and deliver it at reception.
Never happened something like that before in any hotel in the world (approx. >50 stays per year worldwide) |

We were very pleased with our stay at HIX. The room was very nicely decorated and clean. The free shuttle bus and the breakfast buffet were great benefits. The breakfast was wonderful. We would definitely return and recommend it to friends and family.

we visit family in zurich regularly and will certainly use and recommend this hotel again. the bar service was not too wonderful but we were there on new years evening and so all is forgiven as they were short-staffed. |

This is a fantastic hotel, very modern, well run and close to the airport with parking. I would stay here all the time except for the breakfast & the pillows.

The pillows at the Holiday Inn Express are a complete joke. I can´t imagine that someone in management decided to provide such poor pillows - the worst of any chain hotel in the world!! The choice is between one piece of card board or two pieces of card board. Otherwise the hotel was fantastic. PLEASE fix the pillow issue you are ruining the repuration of such a nice, modern hotel |

We took advantage of the free shuttle bus to the hotel from the train station in downtown Zurich and the shuttle bus to the airport the next day. Also, left items in the bus were returned to us several hours later.

The food available for dinner was expensive and not very good.
I wouldn't recommend eating there if at all possible. |

We stayed here to sleep off the jet lag from a long plane trip. Hotel was terrific with very nice staff.
Shuttle service to airport and downtown at no charge and on time. Even the dog had a pleasant rest. Breakfast buffet more than adequate.
Would definitely stay here again. |

Great location. I was in my very comfortble and quiet room within 20 minutes of landing at the airport. Staff were very efficient and helpful. Convenient train station a few minutes walk away. |

Very effecient and functional - Hotel lives up to its description of "express".-Very good value for money. - Breakfast starts at 4.00 -which is excellent for business travellers needing to depart early for the airport.

The hotel was some what further from the hotel than i was led to believe. - The hotel bus is helpful and runs from early in the evening but has a last pick up from the airport at 23.15 which is not great if you have a late arriving flight. |
