My rating is in between positive and negative. I would recommend this hotel only for a night or two, as it is too far away from the central part of Berlin and tourists cannot get an authentic Berlin experience here. It is a conference facility and a hotel that appears to draw company led tourist groups. So there are a lot of nametag wearing groups hanging around together.One loses the intimacy and charm of the city there. That said, it is a great location for access to Tegel, which is the only reason I stayed there.

The room is quite big and very quiet. The lobby is huge and you have space to sit and have a small break during the day or in the evening.
The staff is not flexible for changing the meal, they first said no for having a grilled steak with vegetables, but at the end by insisting, they brought it.

The reception team is very nice and helpfull
The restaurant team is really not pleasant,we really have the feeling to bother them! I just asked a simple grilled Steak and vegetable as I'm in diet, they bring a steak with french fries and then they came back with the vegetable but they had sauce on the steak! + didn't want us to take a table in the quiet corner place in order to be able to discussed with our N+2 management in english... really do not feel welcome in this place !

Rude to non-german speakers. Shuttle driver speaks NO English. Had to argue with the front desk staff to get a ride.
Wake up call was late, then they call my room to tell me how rude I was for making the other shuttle pax late due to their fault.

Clean place, nice friendly staff
Water pressure was not very good, nor did the water drain well in the bathtub/shower. Also the soap options were empty in the shower, but I just switched the soap from the sink area to the shower...other than that, it was nice stay for the lower price.

Unfortunately, my first impression was very good, but what a surprise when I realized that after my return they charged me additional amount for "minibar" which I didn't have. So I am very disappointed and will not recommend it to anybody. This behavior is very incorrect.

the airport shuttle, dinner menu, relax zone
Reception (invoice amount), breakfast staff (pancakes), housekeeping (pillow #5), airport bound shuttle staff (luggage of other guests left at the hotel) all forgot about firm commitments/promises made

Excellent service, polite and competent staff.
Many services free of charge, such as supplement
to bathroom articles like shaving foam or tooth-
paste, free shuttle to airport. We will return to
this hotel every single time we are close to
Berlin and/or need a hotel close to Tegel airport.
No negative impressions made whatsoever.
I strongly reccomend this hotel.
