When I checked in, the toilet did not flush (obviously nobody checked)
Also the checkin stuff did not want to give me cash to pay my taxi ( I did not have pounds with me.) Usually hotels do that and put it on the bill.
Receiving calls from the outside in the hotel room was not possible, because the Operator did not take any calls. Only when I asked the reception to wake up the operator, I got my call.
Despite of the high costs, there was not even wireless in the room.

I found this hotel excellent value for money after a long flight back to UK.The meals may be expensive but are worth every penny.The staff were all very good,so I may return for a longer stay and use all the facilities and nearby attractions etc.Thank You

From the minute we arrived and greeted at the door by the doorman until we left, the service we received was incredibly good. It really made our first weekend away in Birmingham very special. We will definately stay at the Hilton again.
Nothing negative to say at all.

good location next to the NEC, and excellent food for the conference lunch and dinner
water running constantly from the overflow, green stains in the bath suggests it beein like that for months, and lights that buzz whilst lit

Pierre - was the most helpful and competent hotel reception member I have come across in a long while. Polite, helpful and knowlegable, I hope his work is valued as it was he that made this stay a pleasant one.
The member of staff whom took my call from the coutesy phone in the airport was bordering rude when scoffing as I spealt out my name for her and then still"forgot" to send a car for me - poor show!

We had a problem with the courtesy coach link from the airport/rail link to the hotel. Our complaint was dealt with immediately and to our satisfaction by the duty manager.

At the price I paid the hotel was fantastic value for money I have stayed here before during Exhibitions at the NEC and paid 3 times as much for the same accomodation. The breakfast was very good and the staff very polite and friendly.
My room was getting a bit tired looking However the floor I was on is due for upgrading At the price paid I had no complaints.
