Hotel description Grand Hotel Bristol

Grand Hotel, Bristol

Located in the beating heart of Bristol's cultural and cosmopolitan city centre, the 4 star Grand Hotel is as regal as its name suggests. The gracefully renovated hotel occupies a grandiose Victorian building close to the tranquil River Avon and the historic port. Sip authentic West Country cider on the bar on the water boat after exploring the cultural highlights or simply surrender to ultimate tranquillity of the Otium health club. Bristol Temple Meads train station is less than a mile from the hotel and excellent public transport links are proximate; guests arriving by car can enjoy complimentary parking in a secure facility.

Supremely stylish monochrome suites feature richly upholstered furnishings and accents of deep red colour; warm mood lighting and neutral tones create an idyllic air conducive to relaxation. Sink into the soft depths of your four poster bed while enjoying the crisp quality of your flat screen Lcd tv, sipping on a complimentary iced mineral water. Soak in the aromatic scents of luxury toiletries in the bath tub, or don your soft bathrobe and slippers and pay a visit to the sumptuous spa; wallow in the whirlpool jacuzzi, enjoy gentle cleansing facials or revitalising massages before retuning to your inviting abode to ready yourself for an unforgettable dining experience.

Savour the gentle ambience and fulfilling flavours of traditional British fare at Tyrells Restaurant; the Impeccably chic décor combines sleek leather with shining wood and contemporary art for a fashionable feel. The restaurant also offers a quintessentially English afternoon tea package which features fizzing champagne and delicate pastries. Complete your remarkable retreat with a bottle of wine fine in Marlow's, the cosy and inviting on site bar.

"English couple staying between 17/6/07 and 23/6/07 Very attractive first class hotel. Good quiet rooms. Beautiful grounds and pool. Lovely terrace overlookin lake where breakfast is taken. 500 metres from Stresa town centre and railway station with links to Milan and beyond. Very attentive pleasant staff. I would recommend this hotel."

"No negative comments about hotel but I would warn travellers to take a good inscect repellant as this area of Italy is heavily wooded and alive with what us English would call midgies."
