Being on a visit in Flensburg we recommend you to see the Nordermarkt (market square), the churches Heiliggeist and Marienkirche, both having been built in the Middle Ages, and the Local Museum, which gives you insight into the regional flora and fauna.
If you have some more time, it will be worthwhile to visit the castle Glücksburg, located about 9 km / 5.6 miles away from the city. The picturesque renaissance castle impresses with its front and the interior, which you may see on a guided tour. You may also book a hotel near the castle.
