The location of Hotel Catalonia Gran Vía (formerly Hotel Catalonia Gaudí) could not be better: Madrid's Gran Vía at the intersection of Alcalá Street, a few metres from the Plaza Cibeles and Puerta del Sol. All of Madrid's main attractions are in walking distance, including the Golden Triangle of Art and the Congreso de los Diputados.
AVE (high Speed train) departs from Atocha station, just 1.7 km from the hotel. It is reachable within 8 minutes by taxi or 20 minutes if you decide to take a walk.
The building dates back to the beginning of the century, although it opened as a hotel only a few years ago. It was renovated in 2000 and still has the original façade of 1917.
Our hotel has 185 rooms on 7 floors. All of them have air conditioning, interactive satellite TV with pay TV, Canal +, radio, telephone, mini bar, safe and complete marble bathroom with a hair dryer and a telephone.
The hotel also has other facilities such as a fitness centre with a gym, a sauna and a jacuzzi tub free of charge. We also offer massage, hairdressers, a beauty salon and babysitting services.
In the La Pedrera restaurant, our clients can sample excellent Catalonian and international dishes. The hotel also has a coffee-bar, meeting, convention and banquet rooms.
