The beautiful heritage building formerly known as The Peoples Place now the Comfort Hotel Wellington provides the CQ complex with its character and charm. Listed with the Historic Places Trust, it holds a prestigious place in the history of Wellington. In 2004 the hotel was completely refurbished and restored to its original Edwardian grace. From the North:Stay on State Highway 1, and follow it through the Terrace Tunnel, which ends on Vivian Street. Go through three sets of lights on Vivian St. Just after passing through the third set of lights Cuba Vivian St turn into Dunlop Tce on your right. You've arrived! From the airport: Follow signs to city and from Mt. Victoria Tunnel go around Basin Reserve, left on Buckle Street, right at second set of lights onto Taranaki Street, left on Vivian Street. Hotel on second street on left at Dunlop Terrace. From ferry terminal: Follow signs along Aotea Quay, Waterloo and Customhouse Quays and continue along Jervios Quay, right onto Taranaki Street, right onto Vivian Street. Hotel on second street on left at Dunlop Terrace.

A spacious pleasant room though the tv was a little small as it was above a cupboard at the other end of the room from the bed. Breakfast options were a bit pricey but there are good cafes and restaurants offering breakfast a stone's throw from the front door.
