Hotel description City Hotel Nebo Kopenhagen

Hotel Nebo Copenhagen is a recently restored historical hotel, situated next to the central station in the centre of Copenhagen and providing good access to transport. The airport is located only 12 minutes by train from the hotel. All the sights in Copenhagen, such as the Tivoli Gardens, the planetarium, Nyhavn (New Harbour) and several museums are within walking distance.

This nice traditional two-star hotel disposes of 84 rooms and is known for its cosy atmosphere.

Hotel Nebo is an independent establishment run on a Christian basis. Our philosophy says that everyone should be able to afford accommodation in Copenhagen.

The room was clean and the hotel centrally located. The staff were helpful.

The hotel was located in some sort of red light district. The furniture and decoration seemed to be a remainder from the 1970s. The breakfast was alright, but not overly great. All this one wouldn't mind for a lower price, but for about 80 Euro a night, one would expect a bit more. In fairness to the hotel; the prices in Copenhagen seem to be generally higher than in most European countries.

The location of the hotel for my needs was excellent. I just needed to stay over in Copenhagen before heading forward by train the next morning. The Hotel is just behind the train station so that was perfect. No taxis, no searching...

The rooms facing the main street are very noisy. But they are renovating the front side and apparently are also planning to change the windows. Hope this will help keep out the noise, because the current windows are useless in this respect.

The wife and I came off a cruise and were dropped off by shuttle bus at the side of the train station very tired. We were very happy about the 1/2 block walk to the hotel with all the rolling luggage. Small elevator but that is the worst I can say. Great staff, free computer (1) access with internet (Firefox browser), great breakfast. For Americans, please remember no face towel (hand and bath -yes), no kleenex, body wash provided (no bar soap), outlets are the 2 prong circular. Please ask about the loaners at the front desk (eg. hair dryer). We were lucky and got an isolated room. Never heard any trains (1/2 block away) nor any patrons at a full hotel. Rooms are sized by single, double etc. and this does not mean just the beds but the room itself. We had a large attached bathroom, but the room was across from the floors public baths and toilettes. Reservations are a must as walk-ins are frequently turned away. If you are early there is an open area you can leave your luggage until you check in. They can help with city tours. There is a 7/11 at the corner, and a inexpensive (yes, they do exist) Cantonese Chinese restaurant next door. Reasonable walking distance to lots of major tourist sites and shopping. Taxis are plentiful at train station. Airport? less than 32 DKK by train 3 stops away (12 minute ride every 20 minutes from 5am). Trains have areas for the massive luggage we had. Taxis to airport: 200+ DKK. Glad we stayed over and would do it again at this hotel. Sign outside says Mission Hotel Nebo.

The small elevator is not meant for more than 3 people or 1 with luggage. Works quickly and works well, but definitely not "American". Children will need to be monitored as the elevator door, in fact, is a door.

A decent hotel for Denmark. Denmark is a very expensive country. Sweeden and Germany are better values

next to the central station

a ghastly badroom; one wall made of some kind of hardboard. the soapdispenser in the shower had lots of mildew on it! I really couldn't take a shower there. room very old, carpet stained and badly damaged. poor breakfast and staff not too friendly.

I have stayed at the Nebo many times over the years. It is ideally located both for train travel as for connection to airport-and in walking distance to town! Though almost next to the train station, there is little noise, esp. with rooms to the back. I have not found a better price/quality ratio anywhere in Cph.
