Excellent location, just a few meters from the Danube, all major attractions, including shopping are within walking distance.
Nice old building with remodeled rooms, courteous staff.
In the basement is the Matyas Pince, a 100 year old restaurant with good Hungarian food and live entertainment on Fridays.

The City Hotel Matyas is in a great location, just a few meters from the Danube and all the major attractions, including shopping.
Very nice old building, with modern renovated rooms.
In the basement is a Budapest Institution, the 100 year old Matyas Pince Restaurant, which provides very good Hungarian food and on Fridays a free show.
Bathroom is a little small.

It is a very good location in the center of the city, near the Danube shore and Elizabeth bridge, very close to Vaci street. The hotel staff are very polite and friendly.We were there during 20 august and it was a great party in the whole city for St.Steven's day: concerts, fireworks, folk art, parliament army parade.We had also a nice cruise on Danube. It was wonderful!
They don't have matrimonial bed(only twin beds), the Wi-Fi is functional only in the reception area.

Perfect location and very helpful and friendly staff. They arranged transportation back to the airport and everything went as scheduled. Very enjoyable vacation. I will stay here again.
Nothing bad about this hotel or anything else in Budapest. The people were all very friendly and all spoke enough English to communicate well. Most spoke perfect English.
