Location and price of room were satisfactory.

| Breakfast was the worst I have experienced in 20 years of travel. Coffee was like crude oil, glasses for water were steaming hot, water was not chilled, bacon sat in a pool of fat so it was discoloured and practically unedible, toast was hard. |

| Room very small and furniture well worn, bathroom could have been cleaner. Overall the room gave a very poor impression of the hotel (and this was supposed to be an upgrade I shudder to think what the first room would have looked like). |

| it is as described but that is because the description is of the area not the hotel. The hotel itself is a lovely building on the outside but is in need of some refurbishment internally. The pasint was chipped on the door frames and skirting board; sad woodchip wallpaper with faded magnolia paint; rubbish TV; dubious looking bathroom. I wouldn't stay again! |

I paid 42 GBP for Saturday night including breakfast (11 GBP) quite cheap. (even 70GBP would be cheap) Really City center and historic building.

| lower levels are noisy due to bars. no windows in several rooms (when there is, quite dirty) breakfast was moderate |
