The Britannia Country House Hotel in Manchester is situated at the heart of the country's road and rail links, and only a few short miles from Manchester International Airport. The Country House offers the comfort and efficiency of one of Manchester's leading hotels. The hotel is within easy reach of Manchester City Centre, The Trafford Centre, Manchester United football club and Lancashire County cricket club. Situated in Didsbury, close to Manchester University and Manchester Metropolitan University, the hotel also offers easy access to the many attractions of the Cheshire countryside such as Jodrell Bank Science Park and the many National Trust properties in the area.

The Spindles Health & Leisure Club is the ideal location to unwind or work out in the gymnasium using the latest state of the art technology. Take time to relax in the heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room or Jacuzzi. A hair and beauty salon is also available for those who wish to pamper themselves.

Spindles Health & Leisure Club Prices:
Per Session:- £4.00 for an adult and £2.00 for a child.
Gold Card (allows access to the Spindles Leisure Club for up to one week):- £10.00 for an adult and £5.00 for a child.
Towels are available for hire at a cost of £1.00.
Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and are not permitted in the gymnasium.

Set in its own grounds, the hotel provides ample car parking facilities for up to 500 cars. For visitors who wish to stay before flying from Manchester Airport the hotel operates 24-hour airport transfers. This accommodates an inclusive overnight stay and parking whilst you are away.

The hotel is well located for Central Manchester and Manchester Airport. Room prices are relatively cheap.
 
The hotel is used as a collection point for "package holiday" travelers via the Airport, so can get very busy. The hotel also is getting quite run down in places and does not present the best impression it could. Although room rates are cheap, they do not include breakfast.

Room booked was changed on arrival despite verbal confirmation that it was all okay earlier in day. Breakfast was poor quality given £11 price tag (albeit price waived for booking problems set out above). Breakfast staff were busy making noise in packing up breakfast before many people had finished their meals - the sorting of cutlery in front of guests was very loud and in-necessary.

A good location for my business needs
 
A really appalling restaurant - dinner consisted of carvery, pizza or nothing - no other choice. The "hors d'oeuvres" were just a collection of soggy bits of salad, quiche and pate. Truly terrible. Breakfast wasn't too bad in comparison but the food wasn't very hot - stood under lamps for too long.

Das Hotelzimmer war sehr laut. Das Mobiliar war verschmutzt. Die Anzahl der Handtücher nahm von Tag zu Tag ab. Die Eier und der Schinken vom Frühstücksbuffet waren kalt, es gab keine Brötchen / Toast oder Brot, nur Croissant. Für ein vier Sterne Hotel haben wir etwas mehr Service und eine bessere Qualität erwartet. Die Wartezeit beim Ein- und Auschecken war sehr lang (ca. 20 - 30 Min) Possitiv: es gab kostenlos Wireless Lan auch im Zimmer, obwohl wir die Auskunft am Empfang bekamen, daß der Zugang nur an der Bar und an der Rezeption verfügbar ist.
