·From: Highway A41. To Swiss Cottage, off Adelaide Road B509, 50 yards from Swiss Cottage Tube Station. ·From: Jubilee Line. Take Exit 2, Eton Avenue, walk two minutes to the BEST WESTERN Swiss Cottage Hotel.
Nice, familiar hotel very close to underground station. Well-placed not far from the center of London. Quiet location.
Room was very noisy. We could hear the TV and wake-up alarm of our neighbour because of a communicating door. Other rooms may not suffer from this drawback.

The hotel was very near to where I wanted to be, walking distance.
It had caracter, and was quite homely hotel.
I quite liked the idea with the 'take away/delivery' idea
Only thing that was not really acceptable was the showers, not powerful at all. Luckily I have short hair so I could get the shampoo out, but if you have long hair I guess you do not stand a chance.

It was a lovely hotel for the price and in a nice location.
My only point would be to question why the discounted Bosch rate is the same as the standard hotel rate.

Great location, nice and very traditional English decoration
Staff is a bit challenged when under pressure, especially the breakfast team was not up to the job when the restaurant was full. Overall all was okay though, nothing major.

The hotel is really well positioned and not only because of its proximity to the tube - the bus from Stansted also stops close nearby. It's a 'quaint' hotel, really well connected and in a good neighbourhood and I got a good (financial) deal through this site.
Had I had this hotel in Germany, I would have rated it much lower than I have. The bathroom left a lot to be desired, the TV didn't really work, the room was musty and felt old ... but hey 'it's London'. One accepts things in England that one would not really accept in Germany and if you have to pay the standard price the hotel demands of people coming through the door, one would be really really unhappy with this hotel. Old fashioned, musty and in need of repair seems positive in England but if this hotel was in Munich, I would not visit it again.

Near tube station and bus-stop. Acceptable price-quality ratio for London. Rooms looked newly refurbished.
Towels were changed daily (not very environmentally friendly). Really low water pressure (room on 4th floor).

A nice hotel with basic small rooms. I loved the location of the hotel in a quiet residential area, just steps away from the swiss cottage metro. I found the staff polite and professional.

The hotel is in a great location 3 minutes walk to the Swiss Cottage tube station, heaps of restaurants and shops. The room was very large for being so close to central London. Staff were pretty helpful and were happy to mind our luggage after we had checked out so that we could do more sight seeing before we picked up our hire car and left London. The area around the hotel is very nice, with a theatre and a drama school and mainly residential. We paid 79 pounds per night as opposed to the published room rate of 139 pounds (or thereabouts) and it was good value at that price. If I could get that kind of rate next time, I would certainly stay at the Swiss Cottage again.
The mattress was dreadful, it gave me a bad back after 3 nights, although my partner was OK so maybe it was just me! It was also on rollers and made lots of noise when the bed moved. The breakfast was poor for the price, particularly if you just wanted continental and not full. We went to breakfast once and after that we walked to the cafe around the corner and had a nice meal for less money.

The location and the standard of cleanliness were excellent. The building is quite old, and though our room had ceiling stains from leakage, the housekeeping staff made it EXCELLENTLY clean every day of our stay.

Nice location and private
The antique furniture in the lounge area of the hotel room was a bit uncomfortable for relaxing on
