Hotel description BEST WESTERN PREMIER Grand Hotel Russischer Hof

Open since 1805 the Best Western Premier Grand Hotel Russischer Hof is one of the most traditional hotels in Germany. It is ideally located within the historical part of Weimar and all points of interest are within walking distance. The theatre of Weimar is located next door.

The Culinary highlights of the hotel include the Gourmet Restaurant Anastasia as well as the Viennese Kaffeehaus with homemade cakes and pastries. The hotel bar Romanow offers International drinks and cocktails.

The 126 rooms come in several different categories, from modern comfort rooms to the historical Zarensuite with its own whirlpool. All rooms are equipped with safe, mini-bar, cable television, pay TV, telephone with voicemail, W-Lan, bathrooms with shower or bathtub, bidet and hairdryer.

Sauna and fitness facilities are available.

A cultural promotion fee is applicable per room and night. This fee is paid directly to the city of Weimar and not included in the accommodation price (comparable to a visitor’s tax).

The staff was very helpful, the hotel was impeccably clean, the room had several thoughtful touches (a fresh rose in the bathroom!), breakfast was delicious -- it was a super place to stay while visiting Weimar.

The receptionist seemed a bit snooty. The air conditioning didn't work. The pillows were flat and no extras were provided. The bathtub was very slippery with no safety strips.

comfortable bed, good breakfast, attentive staff, great location, quiet room.
 
door was difficult to open (had to put the card in and out several times and then the door would only open if pushed very hard), VERY small TV, bathroom door would not stay open but fall shut every time, I would have appreciated to have more towels (only one at the shower, one by the sink)
