The Best Western Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto is located 2 km from the airport of Barcelona and 15 minutes from the city center and near Mercabarna (Zona Franca), the most important industrial area of Barcelona.

Very dissatisfied with the hotel and its staff. Waited over an hour to take their free shuttle, and then had to call them. Still had to wait over a half hour. The rooms were very hot. When I called to have the airconditioning turned on, they said NO!!!! They said it was only for the summer, but yet it was May! They told me to open the windows, but the street was VERY noisy, and it still didn't cool the room down. That made me VERY angry. I don't like being told what amenities I am allowed to use or not use in my room that I paid to be comfortable in. I knew if I pushed it further with them, I would get attitude about it, and I even got it when calling down to have it turned on in the first place. I was very dissatisfied. I should have paid 30 more Euros to stay at the Rennaisance.

The executive rooms are nice, there is a computer downstairs that you can use 24/7. There is a shuttle to the airport. There is a restaurant downstairs.
 
The staff is extremely rude, they are not helpful at all and when you ask questions they do not answer. I had to change my room because of noise. The restaurant has a limited selection of food and its very expensive. Except you are heading to the airport the following day, do not book this hotel it is too far away from anything. No supermarket or stores. The wifi in the room is very weak you mostly have to go downstairs. The tv stations, nothing is in english not even cnn or bbc. Once again, the staff is very very rude, you would regret staying here and I do not recommend it at all. The shuttle goes every hour and does not wait at all so its very easy for you to miss the shuttle and then you have to take a cab which is almost 20 euros. If you are driving you probably will get lost a couple of times even with gps before you find the hotel. Please do not stay here.

A smart, well-designed hotel. The free bus shuttle took 15 minutes to get to the airport terminals.
 
Shuttle only starts at 5a.m. Some guests who needed to be at the airport earlier were rather disappointed. Access to hotel by public transport limited and not well advertised (Bus 21 goes to and from just outside the hotel to Avenida Parrallel and Drassanes.
