Burford typifies the charm of the world-famous Cotswolds. The picturesque High Street, lined with honey-coloured Cotswold Stone and black and white timbered buildings, winds its way down to the pretty River Windrush. The Bay Tree has welcomed guests since 1565 and is renowned for its friendly atmosphere. Tasteful decor complements the original stone fireplaces, flagstone floors and oak-panelling. The walled gardens are a suntrap during the summer, whilst log fires blaze in the cosy lounges during winter. Award-winning seasonal cuisine is served in the Bay Tree Restaurant.
