Barceló Puerto Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, is an elegant, all-inclusive Mexican-style resort. It offers 316 completely renovated and comfortable suites with excellent service, leisure, history, beautiful scenery, exuberant flora and privacy.

Relax after a hard day’s work in the hotel spa, catch some rays at one of the hotel pools or take time out to practice your favourite water sport.

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta offers spacious one- and two-bedroom guest suites in two nine-story buildings with red-tile roofs. Balconies offer either garden/partial ocean views or, on upper floors, full ocean views. Beds feature pillowtop mattresses. Bedrooms provide air conditioning. All suites include two telephones with separate lines, two televisions, and gray-marble floors and bathrooms.

Snorkeling gear, boogie boards, and kayaks are provided. For surcharges, independent operators on the beach offer banana-boating rides, parasailing flights, personal watercraft, and fishing trips.

Nice hotel, pool and beach. Very clean with nice views of the ocean. The staff was professional and friendly. They have a nice workout room.
 
The hotel is far from the town. The food at the buffett was mediocre at best.

If you're looking to be "away" from the crowds of Puerto Vallarta, then Barcelo may be a good choice. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. As for the pool, there are ample chairs to use.
 
Food is alright. Nothing to write home about - alright for a buffet. After a while, might get bored of "cafeteria" food. Didn't have the chance to dine in the "reserved" restaurants - may be better. On the weekends, Barcelo is popular with the locals and their day passes - Sundays are BUSY - so be early for the meals, if not - you'll be wating. Oh yeah - it's a good hour away from the airport - so be prepared for a drive.

My room had a beautiful view of the ocean and the pool. The food provided was wonderful and there were many restaurants to select from. The staff was courteous and very helpful.
 
The hotel is located a bit far from the downtown area and so if you'd like to check out bars and restaurants outside the hotel, you have to take a 20 minute cab ride.

Beautiful hotel and scenery!
 
food left alot to be desired. Quite a few of us got sick, not sure if it was the food or water.
